RED, WHITE, AND YOU! & What to Do!

So unless you have been living under a rock, you know this upcoming week is 4th of July, Independence day or whatever you want to call it. Whether you are super patriotic and are wanting to celebrate our country's freedom or just coming for the BBQ, there are tons of things around the town that you can do to celebrate.
Here is a list of things around the Oxford/ Birmingham/ Atlanta area you can do, if you still haven't figured out what you will be doing this Wednesday!
Let me start with some local things and some much more laid back activities, since after all we all have work the next day:
- Host a pool party:
-You will need a pool.
-Snacks ( or Have you're friends bring an item)
- Attend a BBQ
I mean come on, theres probably at least one person you know thats cooking out!
- Plan a Picnic
- Lake Day
FREEDOM FESTIVAL OXFORD LAKE PARK
- TUESDAY JULY 3RD : FREE MOVIE IN THE PARK, BRING YOUR CHAIR
DOWNTOWN-SIMMONS PARK IN OXFORD.
- JULY 4TH: A whole day of activities starting at 8 am-9:00 pm ending with fireworks

4TH OF JULY AT THE BIRMINGHAM ZOO
- Free admission for veterans.
- Safari Zipline adventures
- July 4th 9am- 5 pm
4th of July : Thunder on the mountain
- Vulcan Park and Museum
- July 4th, at 9 pm FREE
STAR SPANGLED SCIENCE
- learn about the science behind *FIREWORKS*
- event will take place from July 2- July 5th
I have personally been to this show, and it is truly amazing and free, the fireworks are almost Disney World level.
It is usually hosted at Centennial Olympic Park, but this year it will be at the Georgia World Congress Center
|Date: Wednesday, July 4||Entertainment Begins: 7 p.m.|
|Gates Open: 6 p.m.||
Fireworks: 9:45 p.m.
